Here again :) This current week has been very interesting and full of new useful information. On Monday all the seven groups introduced their fresh ideas about how to improve the business of Suomen Suoramainonta (SMM). There was two representatives of the SMM listening and they seemed to be very impressed and even surprised of the quality of the presentations and suggestions. Even though we were just presenting our ideas the mondays lecture was very eyes-opening for me, I got a very strong aha-moment by realizing the potential of these young students...and more important realizing the potential in me as well. I'm finally starting to become convinced that even though I'm a bit older than the rest of the group the world is still open for me too, being older isn't necessarily a bad thing, having more life-experience can give me a great andvantage too.
Last week they gave us this assignement to make a video for Super Park, so on tuesday and on wednesday we spent our day there filming and shooting material for our video. Super Park is such a great place especially for famillies so I'm deffinately going to visit there again. We got our video done pretty fast (thanks to Teemu from our group who is very interested in film-making) and for my opinion it became a very succesful.

On thursday our guest Lynn-Marie Sederlöf-Airisto from Basware lectured about marketing and the things it contains. I found her lecture very mind-blowing, I'm finally starting to understand the power of digitalization. It's revolutionizing everything and giving so many possibilities and tools for marketing, business and God knows for what else. At the same time it feels uncreadible and makes me even more curious about its potential but on the other hand I find it pretty scary. I'm kind of an old-fashioned and traditional person, so the idea of the fact that the world is rapidly changing frightens me. Can people keep up with the speed of technical development? On what direction is this spectacular digitalization taking us? What about the evolution, we are constantly making new improvements to help our everyday-life, so how are we going to look like after hundreds of years?

At the time I know so little about the digital world (but I'm trying deasperately to change it!!)so that is one of the reasons I am every time so impressed by our guests. Lynn-Marie was deffinately a professional and she offered a lot of good examples about the tools man can use making a marketing researches or for some other needs. Lynn gave for our groups our new assignement, which seemed to be quite challlenging (especially when the deadline is already on next week). She has her own online-store LazyBox (as a hobby like she said ;b) and we have to create a campaign for it. Lazy Box is selling women underpants and I'm sure we are going to have a lot of fun doing this, I hope that I can give some feminine point of view for this project. I love the way we are learning in this course..by doing, by exploring, by making mistakes, by watching the others and by doing together :)
This post might be a little bit off the topics, but I am so excited about this course, (the lectures and the amazing guests) but first of all its effections on me. I have noticed that I'm really starting to think differently about me and the world around me. So not a bad week at all, always looking forward the next one!
